Delta State Association of North Carolina History
The Delta State Association NC was founded in 2019 with a clarion call to all son and daughters of Delta State origin who are resided in North Carolina to come together and form a Delta State Association for the wellbeing of its citizens located in North Carolina, United States of America.
04/28/2019 - The following executives were elected to kickoff the association:

Delta State Association North Carolina based its core values on Culture, Leadership, Collaboration, Community, and Excellence.
Culture
DSA – NC is committed to living and preserving our Core Values. We are uniquely privileged and positioned to uphold the great culture that our ancestral fathers so treasured in every community in which we reside. We are the true custodians of our culture, families, our friends, and our communities. We attract the attention of our children and the world who will share in our vision through a proven strategy of principled cultural practices. We will support every community in finding the proper balance between our challenging community work environment and an excellent fulfilling personal life. We shall practice open dialogue, encourage ethnic diversity, and consistently seek innovative solutions in a resolute effort to be nothing but the best.
Leadership
DSA – NC Leadership will set the tone for how we do community service. Our leaders shall demonstrate an atmosphere of mutual respect by exhibiting our Core Values. Leaders set expectations which are clearly defined, challenging, and attainable. We are committed to clear and effective communication. We address issues and tackle problems directly, with integrity, respect, and compassion. The most senior (elder) leaders are trustworthy, proactive, strategic, adaptable, accountable, and most important as a source of wisdom and powerhouse.
Collaboration
DSA – NC leadership will ensure we utilize the strength of collaboration to achieve outstanding results. Collaboration with other community leaders, associations will tap into a wide range of perspective, expertise, innovation, and experience to achieve breakthrough goals. We will embrace technology and develop a calendar system that supports our collective meetings to discuss issues and overcome any impediments. Collaboration benefits will reward us as members, and maximize our financial success.
Community
DSA – NC is an integral part of our communities. Our financial contributions and donated time and services increases as we grow. As we support our children, community, and education. We are constantly involved in our own community development. DSA – NC will strive to preserve the culture we inherited from our forefathers. The significance is to allow for cultural transfer to the next generation. These contributions affirm our connection to the communities we are invested in, to build strong and important relations.
Excellence
Delta State has a nickname “The Big Heart”. To this end, our nickname depicts what we project. DSA – NC excellence begins with and when our members are recognized for their knowledge, skills and the way we carry ourselves. We cultivate project excellence through our community service, standard practices, and showcasing of our culture in diversity. We provide excellence when we showcase our diversity; we hold ourselves and each other accountable and expect every member to strive for excellence in all our endeavors.
